    Thanks for sharing that pdf. I’d forgotten about it.

    Also good is the USMC Small Wars Manual from 1940. The perceptive reader will understand both sides of that coin, so to speak. I was issued a hard copy reprint many years ago. Not sure if there’s a pdf out there.

    Also have a look at FM 100-20 circa 1996. Especially the appendices. We used that doctrine to good effect in pre-9/11 days.
