Depending on the scanner and the band they have different scanning step rates. Why does this matter?
If someone is on a frequency in between the scanning step rate there is a chance that the scanner will miss them. Its definitely not 100% but there is a chance. I’ve seen it already in some of my own testing of my scanners. As of now I have found no way to adjust the Whistler TRX-1 step rate for each section of band. As for the Uniden BCD436HP you actually can adjust the step rate for each section of band. I found this interesting so I thought I would point it out.
