JS8CALL User Guide

I know alot of old school hams are somewhat opposed to the new digital modes but personally with the bands the way they are during this solar minimum I think digital is where its at.

I run the digital net Sunday nights for Brushbeaters Radio Recon Group. We primarily use JS8CALL for the net. This program has alot to offer. It also has steep learning curve. The PDF below is one of the best guides I’ve seen for using JS8CALL.

Keep in mind that you do not need to be a licensed ham to listen to traffic. You just need a shortwave receiver with SSB or SDR (which I discussed in my ECOMMS class) and JS8CALL or any other digital mode program on you computer and you can see what is being said and still be part of the net.

There is no reason for anyone to be missing out on the digital side of communications. Download these programs and get to work!
